About PDF Huddle

PDF tools that respect your files

PDF Huddle exists because the easiest way to convert or merge a PDF shouldn't require uploading it to a stranger's server first.

Why we built this

Most free PDF tools follow the same pattern: upload your file to a server, wait, and download the result — often behind a signup wall, a daily file limit, or a watermark that only disappears if you pay. We thought the upload step itself was the real problem. Modern browsers are capable of reading, converting, and writing files directly on your device, so we built PDF Huddle to do exactly that: every conversion and merge happens locally, in JavaScript, in the tab you already have open.

What that means in practice

When you convert a PNG, JPG, or HEIC photo to PDF, or merge a set of PDF files, the file never leaves your device. There's no server-side copy, no processing queue, and nothing for us to store, lose, or be asked to hand over — because it was never ours to begin with. You don't need an account to use any tool, and nothing you convert is watermarked or limited by a "free tier."

What we believe

A tool you reach for once every few weeks should be fast, obvious, and trustworthy — not a funnel toward a subscription you didn't ask for. We'd rather keep PDF Huddle small, fast, and free than grow it by adding friction. If that ever changes, we'll say so plainly on this page.
